Petíciót indított a RomNet, hogy valós társadalmi közmegegyezés alapján döntsön az ORÖ a nemzetiségi listájáról, és ez alapján képviselhesse a romák érdekeit a szószóló az Országgyűlésben!
Hitelesség és szakmaiság!
A petíció elindítói vallják, hogy a listát hiteles, erkölcsileg és szakmailag is felkészült embernek kell vezetnie, és erre -szerintük- az egyik legalkalmasabb jelölt Dr. Kállai Ernő társadalomkutató, jogász, volt kisebbségi ombudsman lehetne.
21. századi demokrácia megköveteli, hogy a törvényhozó testületbe a nemzetiségek érdekképviseletére csak olyan, erkölcsileg feddhetetlen, mind tudásban és tapasztalatban, mind rátermettségben élenjáró, hiteles embert delegáljanak a választópolgárok, aki az Ő akaratukat hitelesen, pártérdekek nélkül képes szolgálni. Országos Roma Önkormányzat választott képviselőinek tehát komoly megfontolás után szabad csak dönteni arról, hogy ki képviselje a teljes népcsoportot a következő 4 évben az Országgyűlésben- hangoztatják közleményükben.
Úgy hisszük, a minden szempontból kiváló Dr. Kállai Ernő volt kisebbségi ombudsman lenne a legalkalmasabb személy a lista vezetésére, és a jelöltek között helyet kell kapnia olyan jelölteknek is, akiket a nemzetiségi választópolgárok, nem pedig csak a Lungo Drom néhány tagja akar.
