A romániai magyar falu tíz éve működő péksége a munkaerőhiány miatt két Sri Lanka-i pékmestert alkalmazott – ahogy a pékség tulajdonosa, Köllő Csaba elmondta az estet feltáró Maszol.to portálnak.
„Nem letelepedni jöttek ide, család nélkül érkeztek, képzettek és az első tapasztalataink szerint megbízhatóak. A helyi munkaerő segítségére lehetnek abban, hogy tartsuk a megfelelő minőséget. Hivatalosan vállaltak nálunk munkát minden iratuk rendben van” – mondta el a két vendégmunkásról a tulajdonos. Arra is emlékeztetett, hogy számos ditrói is más országban kereste és keresi a kenyerét. „Ha bennünket így fogadtak volna külföldön, most nagy bajban lennénk”
A tulajdonos az alkalmazás okai között első helyen említette a Romániát is sújtó munkaerő hiányt. A képzett emberek jelentős része már Romániából is -hasonlóan Magyarországhoz- nyugaton keresi a boldogulását, ahogy a két Sri Lanka-i két pék Gyergyóban.

Mindezek az érvek egy cseppet sem hatják meg azokat a Gyergyóditróiakat, akik az Orbán Viktoréhoz hasonló szélsőjobbos demagógiák rabjai lettek. A helyiek egy csoportja tüntetésre készül a „migránsok” ellen a szerdai önkormányzati ülés helyszínén
Puskás Elemér Gyergyóditró polgármestere a portál kérdésére elmondta:
„Az alkalmazásokra nekünk nincs befolyásunk, tulajdonképpen nem tudom pontosan, mit szeretnének azok, akik oda akarnak jönni” – magyarázta. Puskás Elemér sajnálatosnak tartja, hogy „vannak olyan emberek, akik uszítanak”.
